LOVE THE PORTION CONTROL SETS
This is not my first set of these. I actually have a set already minus the shaker. This set is for my husband. This will make it easier for us to portion our foods without having to wash bowls constantly. Plus, taking them with us for packed lunches.
Upon sight of receiving these you may have the same thought I had...I AM GONNA STARVE! But you will not. I have been using the other set & if you follow the provided chart you will do just fine. After reading it you will realize just how many portions of calories & carbs you can actually have that are better for you.
The kit includes a 20 ounce shaker cup that can be drank out of also. There is 7 bowls with lids that are dishwasher, freezer & microwave safe. The bowls are labeled with what foods they are for & what size bowl it is....Fruit 1 cup, Vegetables 1 cup, Protein 3/4 cup, Carbohydrates 1/2 cup, Healthy Fats 1/3 cup & 2 cups both labeled for Seeds & Dressing 2 tbsp.

I was first introduced to this concept by my sister who lost 30+ lbs. using another brand of portion control containers. The difference? The price! That set cost twice as much as this one and the quality, as far as I can see/tell, is the same. I think we've suffered in a "super sized" feeding frenzy. This concept, as simple as it is, really makes you focus not only on what you should be eating, but how much is adequate. It's a great tool to train and or re-train yourself on what a balanced meal should look like. I can either keep my food separated in the appropriate containers (according to the type of food and the corresponding color), or portion them out and combine them in a larger tupperware container (salad, chili, rice or pasta dishes for example).
This set includes a guideline for gaining, maintaining current weight, or how to lose weight based on what YOUR daily portion intake should be. It makes it very easy to calculate your target calories and how to obtain them for weight loss, gain or maintenance. It's also a handy shopping guide for each category: fruits, veggies, proteins, carbs, fats, and seeds/and or dressings. It's a nice list of things that are good to buy when food shopping for each container. I deducted 1 star because even though this set provides a 20 oz. "shake" bottle, I couldn't use it on the go for a protein shake because it doesn't come with a mixer. Other than that, it's an awesome set to get or keep you on track!

This meal prep set are absolutely useful. I love it so much. You get 7 stackables container and 1 plastic bottle in your order. The container is BPA free, freezer, dishwasher and microwave safe, and it is stackable which I like for easy storing when not in use. What I like about this product is that it gives me the right amount or portion of food I need in addition to my diet and exercise. After the holidays are over, diet is in my top "To-Do" list this year to stay healthy and active. The small booklet is a great tool and very helpful to get more information about the product.
I am an Asian, and we love to eat rice everyday. The yellow container allows me to eat rice but in moderation. The green container is perfect for stir fry veggies or salads. The purple container is great for your favorite fruits. The red container gives me the right amount of meat I need in combination to my rice (carbohydrates). I use the blue container for my mixed nuts, but you actually use it for your prefer snacks such as mini pretzels or cheese. The 2 small orange container are perfect for salad dressings, but it can also use for any candies or chocolates you love just a small amount. I tried to cheat once in a while, and these orange container is great for that. It gives me a little something (guilt free) while i am starting up with my diet. The bottle is great for any drinks such as protein shakes or any other fruits and vegetables shakes you would like. Overall, I love it, and I will absolutely recommend this product.

You open the box and find packed all inside a nice small space is a red protein container, a yellow carbohydrate/starch container, 2 orange salad dressing/oils/seeds containers, a green vegetable container, a blue cheeses/fats container, a purple fruit container, an on the go drink shaker bottle and meal plan. Each container is a different measurement, like the green veggie container is a cup and you should have 5 of these a day. This can really take the guess work out of trying to eat proper portions and should be an easy assist to anyone looking to lean up, or portion control. I find this better than the popular 21 day fix because these containers actually have measurements and food labeled on them, and doesn’t have the 21 day fix price tag. These are BPA free and dishwasher safe according to the literature. Only caveat is the shaker bottle doesn't have a way to break up powders, like a ball or slotted ring to mix better with.
